A plain ordinary talking octopus, was having a seemingly ordinary day, with his good friend the local mantee Berine. This name was given to the manatee by a girl named Suzin. She had received his ownership as a birthday present from her parents, who wanted to do something good for the enviorment, without personally having anything to do with it.
The two sea creatures were paying a game they developed called barnicle ride. Consisting of the octopus clinging on to Bernie, so that he could experience the life of a manatee first hand.
